Week 9-10 Process
Over the past two weeks, We have successfully completed the design of the environmental buff and level obstacles for the first level of the game, along with the types of monsters and their attack patterns. We have also implemented Finite State Machines (FSM) to incorporate a chasing effect for the player. In terms of level design, we have improved the monster configuration for the first level, primarily consisting of low-health and low-attack monsters, while adding a patrolling monster to increase the game's difficulty. Additionally, players can expect to encounter rest areas every 5 seconds on average while playing.
Furthermore, we have developed and implemented the crafting table, seed mechanics, and skill recipes, as well as established the location and basic attributes of the boss. To guide players through the game, we have utilized mandatory skill gates and the Formal Tutorial: Overt approach to provide direct and straightforward instructions to players, ensuring they become familiar with the game's mechanics and gameplay.
